Discussions of box movement in the public sphere of football tends to be very simplistic. When analyzing strikers in particular, vague…

Three high quality attacking actions happening in a row: cross, movement, header. Sweet goal.

Group F featured Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon, teams everyone expected Gabon to lose to. And they did, by a single goal in both matches. Which means that the government is essentially doing this because of a single goal loss to Mozambique. Incredible behavior.
Gabon’s national team has been suspended by the government until further notice after they were eliminated from the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations. Marseille striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gabon’s captain Bruno Ecuele Manga have been banned from selection while

ok I'll bite There are major problems with how these numbers have been calculated. It's disingenuous to lump all U23 players in. There's a difference between an academy player and an 18 year old you spent £67m on - obviously that 18 year old is going to play!

Kobbie Mainoo?! The kid you don't play?! 😭
Amorim on midfield: “When you field Casemiro and Ugarte, you know it's different from Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, or Bruno Fernandes. That's normal. We need to get our players back, and the fluidity will be different. Again, we won the last match, and we could have won this one

The critique isn't that Amorim won't play under 23-year-olds. He will because the club bought several as part of the strategy to lower the wage bill. It's that culturally he doesn't get United's academy DNA, evidenced by his odd diversion about Amass, Collyer, and Obi when asked

There's nothing to say anymore. You've seen the difference between putting the players in positions that helps them and having them in positions that restricts them. I am not even taking into account the mad in-game management, meaningless, contradictory, and gaslighting

The list of performances like this far outweigh the list of good performances. The good performances are more surprising than performances like this
Bilbao, Grimsby, Everton and now Wolves. Amorim already has a large portfolio of humiliating performances but tonight being outplayed by possibly the worst Premier League team ever might be the worst yet. He is serving up some unwatchable and dreadful football.

Such a satisfying moment. The goal, the celebrations - players running in every direction - and the crowd reaction with the comms over the top. Top, top AFCON so far. https://t.co/rTBt9cPIjv

The math on this image is insane. New Horizons transmitted at 2,000 bits per second from 3 billion miles away. Slower than a 1990s dial-up modem. It took 16 months to download all the flyby data. The spacecraft had to hit a target box 100km wide, arriving within 150 seconds
It took 9 years and 3 billion miles to get this shot. Pluto’s icy Mountains. https://t.co/jpj3kSYQoz
