Road user education is a key missing component of non-engineering solutions for getting to #VisionZero with a #SafeSystemApproach. Every state should follow Minnesota's lead in mandating road safety education in schools.

Road user education is a key missing component of non-engineering solutions for #VisionZero. But, engineers themselves should become involved in overhauling the US road user education system to focus on all modes, not just driving, and develop curriculum for elementary schools.
Engineering can only get you so far towards Vision Zero goals. Many cities have had years of little-to-no traffic enforcement, and driver behavior is out of control.

⚾️ Agreed - let's learn from the Showalter years. If the World Series is the goal, there has to be some success in the playoffs. Would love to see somebody like Varitek or Thome managing these players.

⚾️ Heck of a half season for the #Orioles, but Elias needs to learn from past mistakes and sign some proven playoff hitters. He got the ace, but was missing the proven playoff bat(s) to be an example for the younger hitters. He didn't finish his job. No excuses this offseason.

⚾️The #Orioles' lack of a veteran playoff bat with postseason success is glaring right now. It was a need last offseason, and Elias failed to acquire one. The 2012 team had Thome. The 2014 team had Cruz. Where is that bat? If they fail to advance, it must finally be addressed.

Hey @city_of_toledo, may I suggest that you follow the City of Akron's lead, and purchase a good book for all of your citizens, both young and adult, to read in their schools and libraries to increase roundabout understanding and acceptance? @buildtheera
City officials have “paused” development of plans to build roundabouts at three Toledo intersections while they conduct “further review and community engagement” about the projects.
