Heads up to US 97 travelers! It's also a reminder that fire season is in full swing, so make sure you aren't dragging tow chains, tossing lit cigarettes out of your window, or parking in tall, dry grass. Don't be That Person who sets the state on fire.
It's the thing we dread but come to expect: Roadside fire closed a section of US 97 south of Pateros (MP 240-253) Wednesday PM (7/2) for several hours. Fire crews worked hard to wrangle the fire and the road was reopened to pilot car last night. Pilot car continues this AM.

Good Wednesday morning! Family portrait day! While updating traffic cameras in the Wenatchee Valley, we spotted two separate osprey families nesting nearby. No bad angles on these beautiful creatures!

It's JULY, which means two things: 1) it's officially summertime and 2) the new SR 99 tunnel toll rates are in effect. This increase was part of a planned rate adjustment schedule adopted in 2018. Revenue supports ongoing maintenance, operations & repayment of construction costs
