@JReidESPN @Commanders @JayD__5 Nice article OG. The tweet was confusing though bruh, "long, long summer" seems like a precursor of doom instead of optimism.

I really enjoyed my conversation with ⁦@Commanders⁩ star quarterback ⁦@JayD__5⁩. Forget what the calendar says. It’s gonna be a long, long summer in Ashburn.

ā€œDynasty like.ā€ Three SB titles in five years, including back-to-back titles. First time feat accomplished in 20 years. And best three-year run in the history of the Super Bowl era. That’s a dynasty. Period. Can’t make this stuff up. šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø.

2021: Mahomes’ defense gave up 36 points. He had 13 seconds. 2023: Hardman fumbled a clinching TD through the end zone, giving BUF life. 2024: The Bills recovered all of their five fumbles (Allen had three). The Chiefs had no left side of the OL. Mahomes won ā€˜em all. Overcome.

And he should have won the year Magic was a rookie. His numbers in the Finals against Philly were insane. But he missed Game 6 in Philly, and TV wanted the winner of the MVP to be present. Obviously, Magic had a great game. And Kareem wasn’t loved by the media, so, well.

@JReidESPN When you win a FMVP in a series with Bird, Magic, McHale, Worthy, DJ, Parish, at age 38, that to me is remarkable. @kaj33 did that in 1935 when LAL finally exorcised the BOS demons in Finals play. I know everyone believes GOAT is an MJ v Bron thing, but I respectfully disagree. .

in scoring. Blocks weren’t an officials stat for part of his career. Can’t have the discussion without him. Or Wilt, in my opinion.

When you add it all up (high school, college and pros), strong case can be made he’s the most accomplished ever. Russell has five more NBA titles, true. But Lew/Kareem was a much better scorer, obviously, and also a defensive force. Kareem has the most NBA MVP awards. Second.

@honnoldblake @JReidESPN Made the NCAA ban the dunk after one year of varisty ball and was an NBA MVP, FMVP & and champion by his second year in the Association: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, aka, Lew Alcindor. .

@JReidESPN We both know you’d have to say Jordan, but in reality when it comes to play on the court and being a force…. Its Lebron James. This example sheds light into how flawed and misleading your logic and thinking is in my opinion.

@JReidESPN You’re interested in team results without understanding the context of actual QB play. We are debating different things. Who is the best player of all time in the NBA curious where this logic leads you?.

No. Because there’s no logical argument to rank Allen ahead of Mahomes when Allen is 0-4 in the playoffs against Mahomes and has failed to lead his team to a Super Bowl appearance, let alone a Super Bowl victory. Meanwhile, the other guy has three SB victories and three SB MVP.

@JReidESPN ā€œI’ve disputed everything you’ve stated. And Jason Reid is entitled to his opinion, wrong though it is. I’ll stick with what NFL coaches, player-personnel people and players tell me, and what plays out on the field.ā€ - Chris Simms .You don’t see the hypocrisy.

If ya wanna talk about who has the better stats year to year, advanced metrics, etc., I’m not interested. I’m interested in what the GOAT is talking about. It’s about the scoreboard. Period. Not excuses.

@JReidESPN Again…. You’re not disputing anything i’m saying, but simply trying to justify your predetermined biases through your qualifications which some people quite frankly some are more qualified to do cause they played it and lived it in the NFL @ QB. Give me more than 0-4.

That’s his opinion. I could text 10 people right now who either currently coach the position, play the position or draft players, and they would disagree with this. Bottom line, again, Allen is 0-4 against Mahomes in the playoffs.
