Kodai Senga made his Spring debut! This was a very encouraging start for Senga as he sat 96-97 MPH on his fastball after exhibiting a drop in 2025. I won’t read too much into the results as he prioritized his secondaries and was clearly tinkering with his pitches

Nolan McLean (#6 Prospect) somehow looks nastier than last season! In his 4 innings of work, he dialed up his fastballs to 98 MPH and struck out 6. His ability to spin his breaking balls is outstanding and makes him one of the favourites to win NL Rookie of the Year!

Assuming Francisco Lindor is healthy for Opening Day, a medical professional suggests that his power will realistically return after a 2-month period, in this scenario being late May or early June

Why are people acting like he ripped his oblique off? Its a hamate bone lolll. Its February 10th. Even if he gets the surgery, he’ll be ready for OD.

Hearing that the Mets are still looking to sign a pitcher and talking with teams about spare parts & potential contracts they would be down to shed.

@DelisoFrank @bobbygrady22 My understanding is that if Bichette WANTS to opt out, the Mets can pay him an additional $5M for 2027 and retain him.

The Mets have the best pitching development system in baseball, says @LanceBroz. "They know what they're doing on the personnel side, and they've combined that with a couple of years of really good development in the minors."

If you ever wonder, "well, just how incompetent IS the ownership group: just look at the fact that they have had MONTHS to put together a succession plan, seemingly don't have one, and will now let a GM who has 6 wins since the start of 2024 hire a new HC while in a contract year

When the same suspects in the media come out in a week and say the “Giants didn’t want to make a change because of John Mara’s health”, just know that’s not an excuse and you aren’t be insensitive to John Mara by pointing it out.

Can confirm the Mets are signing SS Wandy Asigen when the 2026 IFA period opens on January 15th. Asigen, top 5 player in the class, previously had agreement with Yankees that he backed out of it. Kris Gross, now overseeing the Mets IFA scouting, helped get the deal done.

The Mets always seemed lukewarm at best about bringing back Pete Alonso this offseason. One first-base solution they’ve floated internally: a platoon of Jeff McNeil (who plays everywhere) and free agent Paul Goldschmidt.
