For many reasons I won’t go into, I’ve developed a phobia of highway driving. Im curing it by sometimes getting on the highway for just one exit & then getting back off & driving the rest on backroads. People do things they don’t need to explain to everyone else.

I just read a script by @rbripley he wants to direct himself. It’s a small indie, full of family emotions and small funny moments. Reminded me what a great writer he is. And reminded me how grateful I am to have such interesting and talented friends.

As I see it, the benefit you get from any win or service is ACCESS. (And I dont mean you pay to meet w/people - please dont do that) People that can green-light or move a project forward are what matters. Not laurels or awards. Winning can get u access. The rest is up to you.

I made good connections from wins. If you dont have a serious chance of winning, no. But then again, how useful is the lottery and people buy tickets anyway?
