If you are pitching & sending scripts out, it's super important to have the next step materials ready, i.e. series bible or pitch deck. Not in 2 weeks or even 4 days but sending them after the meeting. Keeping momentum in a business where buyers have so much coming at them is

Creating takes time. Sometimes a writer has to give things the time they take and return to ideas after they've been given up on. Living life outside the scope of writing can bring new perspectives and reanimate unfinished ideas into fully formed stories. Waiting does not

Read a remarkable western over the weekend. This genre, along with war, can be so emotionally profound when done properly. The atmosphere, the characters, in this case the loss and needs. Not just horses and frontiersmen. Expand your genres!

I just gave notes on a very good comedy and man did I need those laughs. Bear in mind, other people are feeling the same way too. The ones who can buy your material. Read the room/world.

move out of the margins dig deeper than the surface to tell your story sing a song that you and only you can sing take the risk and know there is a sense of what one has to lose, not just what one has to gain this is where your truth as a writer is
