"I agree with Democrats on most issues but don't trust them on the things most important to me" isn't a fringe political position, it's the core problem our party needs to solve.

You are allowed to be mad at voters who make their vote choices based on issues you would rather they not prioritize, I guess, but you're not allowed to be surprised.

The staffers and consultants who were the least surprised about the 2024 election, in my travels, weren't the people relying on testing data or quant data, but the people who were doing qualitative. They met lots of people like Sadie, who told them very clearly how they felt.

Republicans have had 10 years under Trump's leadership to put forward a health care plan. This year's 30 percent increases? The prices doubling for others? Others being kicked off their care? This IS the republican health care plan.
Donald Trump and Republicans promised to bring down health care costs — they lied. They control the White House and Congress and they’re failing to deliver.

I’m suing the Trump administration for illegally suspending the SNAP benefits that 440,000 Minnesotans rely on. My job is to help Minnesotans afford their lives—and today that means taking Trump to court to help feed people in need.

Beloveds, if you have been considering using betting markets as real indicators of public opinion or election forecasting, and not just DraftKings for nerds, think about this tweet and then stop considering that.
BREAKING: Mamdani's odds collapse in NYC Mayoral Election. If he continues falling at the rate he has the past 24h, Cuomo would be the projected winner.

It’s official: I’m running for Congress in PA-03. I’m a lifelong Philadelphian, and I know what it’s like for families to struggle when the system is rigged against them in favor of the wealthy and powerful. We’ve watched career politicians fail us and put special interests first

The whole party is unbelievably desperate for any executive anywhere who isn't a Republican that they can blame the massive problems they can't wish away on.
SCALISE on @ZohranKMamdani: “He is the head of their party now, when he gets elected mayor of New York.”

I think that this would so obviously backfire and destroy the Republican Party that I can’t imagine they’d really do it. If there’s a real plan to involve trying to get Trump a third time it is not going to involve voters.
First time ever seeing an analyst note detailing how Trump would attempt to secure a third term. (George Pollack, Signum Global)

“Republicans are in charge of everything and everything is bad” is extremely under-rated as a political message. Republicans know it, which is why they spend so much time talking about cities with Democratic mayors. They would really love not to be in charge of everything.

A long time ago, DC decided that Democrats were the only adults in the room. The GOP could run on, and win on, a platform of destroying the institutions that made the country run, and the people who benefit from them wouldn't really object, because Dems would always step in.
Odd moment as everybody sits in the pocket waiting for the other side to feel any pressure. It'll come eventually, via aviation snafu or otherwise; what's different here is--if their current pose is any indication--Dems might just say hey that's your problem. L

When the Republican who beat you in the Tea Party wave has done more to stand up to Trump than you have, maybe Congress doesn't need you back.
HUGE news! @WalshFreedom endorsed our campaign. He DEFEATED our Wall Street-backed opponent Melissa Bean in 2010, and knows she is not the fighter we need to meet this moment. Can you join Joe Walsh as we take the fight all the way to Washington and Donald Trump?

I’m Tram T. Nguyen, a State Representative, an attorney, and a refugee who escaped an authoritarian regime to come to America at 5 years old. I’m running to be your next Congresswoman from MA-06! This moment is TOO IMPORTANT to sit out. Our rights, our democracy, and our future

At just five years old, I fled communism with my family and came to America as a refugee with only $100 and a dream. I’ve spent my life standing up for people who have been ignored or underestimated....

They don't have the antibodies built up over decades to say "no, screw you!" and walk away forgetting all about it.

Living in Minnesota as someone trained in personal communication on the East Coast can be a superpower: a man knocked on my door today to say he was going to cut my power during an important call today and I was so mad they decided to send everyone home and come back tomorrow.
