I hate the way writers have to be influencers now. It’s the single worst thing that has happened to books. Good writers have to waste valuable time making content when they should be writing, bad writers get book deals because they have a lot of followers
influencers have replaced everything. being an actor or a musician or a writer is just treating your work as fodder for sponsored social media posts and brand deals. politicians see their jobs as clip farming. real life is just a content farm for shortform vertical video

I firmly believe that we can literally feel the amount of handmade human care put into something. That’s why the old animated films often feel like they have more “soul.” That is the expression of human care you’re sensing. I hope we don’t lose this.

For this season, specifically, the Cinderella story has certain requirements. One of them is the revelation that Cinderella isn’t actually a maid. She’s been forced into being one, but the person she *actually is* is the daughter of a noble.
A considerable number of complaints about Bridgerton could be resolved by keeping in mind it’s a romance, and a romance has certain requirements.
