I don't study politics, but I do study culture, and here are some of the signs that a cultural shift has been brewing for years in America that most of the professional political analysts just completely missed. Some of these may seem absurd, but hear me out. 𧔠We'll start

People are talking about this exchange for a million different reasons. But maybe the biggest practical takeaway is being overlooked: This was a TEXTBOOK example of how to remain a non-anxious presence while in the company of anxious & manipulative behavior.

đ„Chart says it straight: NXXT looks like a reload into earnings, not a flush. Volume spikes on dips, moving averages curling, demand zones holding. The tape shows patient bids absorbing panic. Last reports already pointed to strong growth; guidance track suggests momentum

The entire wrestling business is built on their ability to read American culture in real time. So when @CodyRhodes says that something has changed in culture and people want good guys again in wrestling, I pay attention.

Found this rare gem in my old church building. Itâs an end-times âChristianâ comic book from 1973. Itâs thoroughly dispensationalist and nightmarish inside, but I absolutely love the title and cover art. đ„

Iâve written more about the scientific and philosophical reasons for why the continuous scroll is starving our brains of what it needs, and some simple actions to change that here: https://t.co/I3NaIbCWWh

That nagging sense of perpetual exhaustion after logging hours of your day on social media has an overlooked reason: Humans are storied creatures. One of the primary ways we take all of the inputs and experiences of our day and arrange them to try and process & make sense of it

Did you know that Americans spend 4x more on Halloween today than we did 20 years ago? Halloween keeps getting bigger, and itâs more than just economics. Does its rise have anything to do with the âre-enchantmentâ that @roddreher & others have written about?

The only reason Iâm still on the internet doing what I do is because I want to be helpful to a real person out there. Views/ likes donât really give you any idea of HOW you may or may not be helpful. Iâve gone viral, and frankly itâs pretty hollow. It doesnât tell you much.

The new dev flow: create the PRD and Tech Design through agents, review and refine, then run @cursor_ai cli agent -> "implement PRD .md, Tech Design .md and Data Model .md as guidance, execute all commands until complete...good night (..and good job in advance! now get to work)"

If youâre stuck on that word âreligionâ and want to yell, âwhat about separation of church & state!?â I wrote about all of this last week:

The VP @JDVance is right on this. The notion of neutral, religion-free spaces was a modern myth that postmodernism forced us to question. For various reasons, the pandemic killed that myth for good. Now we are sorting thru which religion can hold civilization together.

This one might be hard for Millennials & older to understand: There isnât a pro athlete or Hollywood actor that has more cultural influence with young Zoomers & Gen Alpha than the people on this list. Your Brad Pitt & Michael Jordan is their MrBeast & Kai Cenat.

If you have no idea whatâs going on with these memes, let me explain: For over 20 years thereâs been debates about whether PlayStation or Xbox is the better video game console. What XBox had on its side was exclusive rights to the game âHaloâ which was an all-time dorm room

One of Jordan Petersonâs most underrated insights from the old college lecture days: You donât want to win every argument with your spouse. If you do, that just means youâre married to a loser.

Joe Roganâs continued fascination with Christ has led him to church. What is the preaching like? Topical? Seeker-friendly? Nope. âPeople read and analyze passages of the Bible.â When men like Joe show up at church, donât underestimate their desire to go deep.

On a trip to Poland years ago, I went from touring Auschwitz and wresting with the problem of evil to going deep into this underground salt mine, beholding this, and grappling with the problem of goodness.
deep in the âsurprisingly not from a video gameâ files: the st. kinga chapel in poland is carved into a salt mine.
