I’m in a lot of writing groups, and sometimes these groups attract aspiring literary types who say things like “I should just write a romance novel because then I’d be published”. They think just because something’s easy to read it was easy to write. The poem is devastating

The book is currently number 11 in the category of Muslim children’s books, which is absolutely wild to me. I didn’t even think my little book would show up on the list

At what point are we going to start treating ai slop like the scam that it is. This is a classic case of an elderly person falling for an online scam, only this time her hard earned money is being stolen by a thief who has already stolen the work of artists and writers

Just saw a video about a lady whose mom bought her grandkids an ai book about hamsters, not realising the book was written and illustrated by ai. It was an incoherent, nonsensical book. The grandma spent 12 dollars on it!

Honestly, what is the point of being a singer who’s richer than god if you’re not going to be using that money to create expensive, beautiful videos for your songs. I’m so disgusted she used ai slop

The lady in the video doesn’t just get Taylor wrong, she gets pop music wrong too. There are so many sexualised young women in pop. Look at Britney. Britney was sexualised as a child

There are lots of things you can criticise Taylor Swift about, but this is so lazy. Wood is a stupid song and I won’t defend it, but it’s not the first time she has written a sexy song. She literally has a song where she engages in some good old onanism to thoughts of Matty Healy

I think this is a reductive take on the album. If you listen to songs like the prophecy, you’ll know it’s not just about marriage. She’s terrified of ending up alone. She thinks she’s cursed. That terror informs the giddy relief of finally finding a person she wants to marry

I’m sorry if you liked Into the Woods, and Wildest Dreams, and Blank Space, but somehow this song to you is the worst thing she has ever written, I just cannot take you seriously. This is a bop. It’s a earworm. It’s cinematic and fun.

Yep, this is where I’m at. The album is a perfectly fine album. A few really pleasant bops (ophelia, opalite, Elizabeth Taylor), one brilliant song (father figure), some forgettable but perfectly ok songs

She wrote the lines “you made a rebel of a careless man’s careful daughter” as a teenager. She doesn’t need a man to help her write clever song lyrics
