Nothing about us without us. Read article from Kamran Mallick, Chief Executive Officer, Disability Rights UK.
📣Why Disabled people's lived experience must be at the heart of welfare reform. "Reforms are being designed about us, not with us. They are shaped by people who rarely reflect the communities they legislate for." - DR UK CEO, Kamran Mallick. Read on 👇.

Agreed @InclusionLondon. Trains need to be accessible for all including those left stranded as they can't hear announcements.
No one should be left stranded on a train, unable to get off. We support the call to restore accessibility as an urgent priority, and to strategically plan with disabled people for a railway that we can all use reliably. Read the full story 👇

Wouldn't this money be better spent on co-producing an improved PIP with Disabled people?.
"The DWP itself considers PIP fraud to be so minimal, it marks it at 0%.". Yet it's advertising covert surveillance roles to, in their words, "gather evidence to prove/disprove offences.". Medical knowledge? Training & understanding of the complexity of disability? Not in the ad.

#PublicTransport should be fully #Accessible to all.
71% of disabled people want to use more sustainable modes of transport, but face needless barriers such as overcrowding, missing announcements and a lack of lifts. Public transport must be accessible, so we can all make choices about how to travel.

There is an average wait of 47 years for a new wheelchair-accessible social rent home. Only 3% of new housing approved in London is accessible. A disgrace in 2025.
Too many Disabled people are still locked out of accessible housing. We deserve better. We need more accessible social rent homes. Delivering this is far more complex, but it starts with prioritising the issue. #HousingCrisis.
