Glad our members from T13 are safe. Thank you @MayorBowser @councilofdc for always funding our quality fire apparatus. We require stainless steel cab design for a reason. The stronger metal is safer in a collision, and today we learned it stops bullets too.

We are grateful to the @councilofdc for restoring our right to negotiate FY 2025 pay as part of the collective bargaining process. Let’s build on this momentum — it’s time to fund a fair contract for DC Firefighters. 🔥 #GoodFaithBargaining #DCFirefighters #contract #dc.

Thanks to DC Firefighters who courageously shared their stories about their battle with Occupational Cancer. Especially Brother Steve Shipp who is gone but not forgotten. Thanks to @IAFFPresident for leading the way on ending cancer in the Fire Service.

May 29 in the District of Columbia is known as firefighter Memorial Day. Today we take the time remember all those that have fallen in the line of duty serving and protecting the great city of Washington DC. We will never forget the sacrifices they and their families have made.

Development in DC has led to a 20% increase in population density— yet the District hasn’t opened a new firehouse since 1987. The RFK development plan should include the construction of a new firehouse on site. Keep our city safe! @Commanders @MayorBowser

A 55 percent majority of D.C. residents favor using about $850 million in D.C. money to help finance development around a new stadium on the RFK Stadium site.

It was great to speak with @RepBenCline about the need for the House to pass S. 1077, a bill to prevent furloughs of DC Firefighters. This bill has already passed the Senate unanimously and is endorsed by President Trump.
