While the PI remains at the forefront, the actual working force behind all the outcomes, i.e. hands and brains of team members, often remain overshadowed. Also, why should only the girls have all the fun in Navratri/Durgapujo?

Findings 👇🏼 1. Participants have an inherent bias for faces perceived as warm (empathetic/prosocial label-face pairing) vs. competent (positive/agentic label-face pairing) 2. However, attributions made by P/A label-face pairing was trusted more significantly as compared to E/P.

I had an amazing time presenting my work at the #S4SN 2025 Conference! The research explored the role of label types (empathetic/prosocial vs. positive/agentic) and valence (positive/negative) on trust judgements for ToM attributions made by faces.

Upcoming in JPSP Psychologists study morality by having people respond to hypothetical "trolley dilemmas". We confronted people with a real-life version. Not with runaway trolleys, but with people hooked up to electroshock machines: "Do you want to save two people from pain by

https://t.co/iohZYB50Sp My article on phantom costs is now officially published. We found that people imagine hidden costs when someone offers a deal "too good to be true". Moreover, paying someone too much can backfire--making them less likely to buy than if you paid less.

Losing someone you love is associated with a significant increase in heart attack in the subsequent days. Grief is more than just an emotion: your body is flooded with adrenaline, inflammation & clotting factors.

A model for the rest of us to follow. It's time we stopped losing out on opportunities to go share our science with the international community due to visa issues. Let's bring some major cogsci/neuro conferences to Asia!

Bringing international conferences to the global south empowers many more. Thanks to all who made @Behaviour2025 possible. Fantastic talks, meeting old friends, interacting with so many students and meeting @toshitaka_szk in India was the highlight for me. #Behaviour #NextIsWhat

When we die, our atoms do not vanish into mystery. They return to the Earth, becoming part of the soil, the air, and the water that sustain life. Guided by entropy, they break apart and scatter, only to be gathered again into new forms of life. Nothing is truly lost; the matter

1/ Are people who meet their partners online LESS satisfied in their relationships than those who meet offline? Our new study across 50 countries (N = 6,646) suggests: Yes. Individuals who met their partners online reported LOWER relationship satisfaction and love.
