What this effectively means is that pressure will be put on “Catholic” schools to shun him. Givan will then end up only attending “Protestant” schools and will then be accused of favouritism and sectarianism.

This is fundamentally what Irish nationalism is now trying to do. They want to use majoritarianism to put their boot on your neck, so to speak. Power-sharing and words like “equality” are misnomers; they want to dominate you socially, culturally, and politically.
Paul Givan has shamed his office - so the SDLP are signatories to today's no-confidence motion. But we know the DUP will block censure- so the SDLP Opposition is also pushing for reform of our broken rules so that rule-breaking ministers can't forever avoid sanction.
