But more often Kobe would position you too far to affect his jumper. See on this play, he fakes right to make the defender flatten their stance, which makes their contest hand just out of reach for the pull up. If the defender lunged forward,Kobe would have just went inside.

His shot pocket was insanely diverse, allowing him to pull up in basically any situation. this allowed him to build fakes around his shot diversity, lulling defenders to sleep, as biting on his fakes would send him to the free-throw line.

like most all time scorers, Kobe built his entire game around space, no matter how minor. To gain it, he had tons of tricks in his arsenal.

When we talk about post defense, first and foremost, we have to battle for position. The cliche, "do your work early" especially if under-sized. - Beat to spots, hold ground and cause some frustration - Lower leverage wins Full blog: https://t.co/NC6qc0c9Y7

Being able to finish away from your body is one of the most under-taught skills at the youth and HS levels. Whether it's off of 1 foot or 2 feet, players need to be comfortable extending away.

Under-sized players need to be active in the post. Sometimes battling and fronting just isn't enough. Pippen was the all-time best at this - sometimes you had to avoid contact to gain an advantage Pippen Front Full blog: https://t.co/BuuHS4vg0G

Push offs happen in basketball. Exhibit A and oops is this Kobe? Itโ€™s about creating contact without extending the arm. Itโ€™s a physical ass first. If youโ€™re first to bump youโ€™re going to have the advantage.

Below is HOW we can make the read by picking up on what our teammate does, yet, without our teammate making the read on the defender we won't know what to do.

The @NYCPOINTGODS documentary is ๐ŸงŠ cold. Well done, and wonderfully put together. I know itโ€™s probably tough to get to everyone, so i definitely want to give a strong shout to Queensbridge legend Vern Fleming, and Brooklynโ€™s own artful dodger, Jamaal Tinsley. #NYCPointGods ๐Ÿ€

In an era of โ€œdribble movesโ€ are your, basketball players, physically able to do pullback and step back moves? If not training the body in the gym with low level plyos, can help us transfer over that movement skill we need physically, that can be expressed with a ball

We pride ourselves in performance training and more so the education of it. We breakdown in this series how basketball moves are about footwork and hand eye coordination. Look below to see how the hang hesi is performed and used.

This ainโ€™t basketball related and I donโ€™t own the rights to this music. But it feels damn good to finally have a record player and have this album as the LP to pop it off.

If overweight baggage comes with a price in airports, and the same comes with life. Our overweight baggage can cost us relationships, opportunities, and more self inflicting injuries. Seeking help to drop baggage, such as therapy/counseling, can help us enjoy the journey more.
