Rest in peace, Ethan McLeod. The Macclesfield FC forward was involved in a car accident that took his life when travelling back from Bedford Town on Tuesday night.

This is exactly what jumped out when rewatched these Finals over the summer Cavs defensive scheme was shrinking the floor, overloading ball screens, ignoring Dray/Bogut, escaping split actions and it exposed the limits of the Warriorsโ early motion system By Games 4โ6 and with
counter was steph shifting from his 24 & 9 pg style into high-volume playfinishing so possessions like this wouldnโt be the default irony is that problem-solving and not living with role player volatility and just crying โno helpโ got him rebranded as a sg *play at 0.5 speed*

We about to be 26 years into the 21st century using stocks as the be all end all on prospects. We might as well have stuck with PER atp

Yk the team context has massively changed each of these years right?we gotta be fair about what's also happened with the team when Paolo is healthy and with Franz. The surrounding players average a 55 games a year over the last 2 years. Paolo has been their best PS guy by far.
Since Paolo entered the league... Franz w/o Paolo: 24-16 record, +6.9 NET RTG Both together: 99-94 record, +1.4 NET RTG Paolo w/o Franz: 5-12 record, -7.2 NET RTG

I honestly want reasons given for why cam boozer has "defensive concerns". Best defender on the 3rd best defense in college basketball, literally has been showing great lane defense despite it not being his role, has switched on guards and wings, and has legit low man threat.

If he stays straight and drives with his hips facing goberts this clip ends in a blocked shot. Its so cool reading advanced finishing reads man

Sees the inital drive blocked by gap help, re attempts on a wider angle, bumps on goberts outside shoulder to make him wider then rotates his finish midair to be aligned with the baseline, throwing off goberts positioning. This is when elite finishing tools meets an elite brain

I do think there's a separation but for the most part each era represents the best athletes available given the training and conditions of the era. And we know humans when given new conditions, will just produce better. I think hes part right but its just overblown.

ive never liked this comp is because like track and field, there are outside factors previous eras couldnt control. In track the shoes were worse the roads were worse, to the point they've done studies showing d1 sprinters running similar times when under the same restrictions
Stan Van Gundy says some players from the NBAโs Top 75 team wouldnโt be able to play in todayโs league. "The best 20 basketball players in history have probably played in the last 20 years" (๐ฅ @ZachLowe_NBA / h/t @Shane00 )

Per 75 derik queen is averaging 18 9 and 6 shooting 50% from the field 72% at the rim 42% from 3-10 feet. Not being able to shoot a lick from three. But now im sposed to believe a more athletic, elite 3pt shooting big, with a far better touch and passing won't be able to better?

Not to start a hot take but.... If finishing in the nba was so unviable for 6ft9 forwards with a lack of vertical pop...how is Derik queen shooting 72% at the rim, with worse touch the cam? Worse strength, and lacks the defensive skill cam has? Just saying.

When you Cameron boozer through the lens of the next jokic and not the next point forward... all the tools start making sense. The passing. The insane touch at the rim. The elite shooting ability(boozer is a more dynamic shooter icl). It doesnt need to be 1:1, but its there

Cams awareness and reads as a gap defender has been understated as well. Already has elite timing on closing lanes and generating turnovers....and hes a big. And I get the athletic concerns, but he has enough strength to atleast seal space, and the touch to finish.

Atg touch for a big his age, elite passing, and geniunely one of the best 3pt shooting big prospects EVER based on sample size( hes ahead of all other historical comparisons at his age)...while having positive d and NBA level desicioning making? This is my #1.

How much longer untill we talk about luka shooting 96% at the rim, 64% from 3-10 ft and 52% on 10-16ft, along with having the highest transition rate of his career? Ik the 3pt hasn't been falling but he really has made a geniune leap on O
