In addition to pocketbook savings I see reduced groceries as an opportunity to #savethefood. Reducing the discount on expiring items de-incentivizes this practice and will result in greater food waste: boo to @LoblawsON!.
Loblaws plans to reduce the same-day discounted items from 50% to 30% off in many stores, starting Sunday, January 14. Great timing. Seems Galen Weston is making a decision that may not be well-received by customers.
