For less than 1/5 of the money we spend on the NDIS, Australia could completely onshore all oil refining even in the worst case scenario where the government completely subsidised the operation.

Previous resting heart rate (RHR) of mid-high 60's with no regular exercise. Start running a bit, and there's a very clear RHR drop of nearly 15bpm. And this even remained over the 3 month harvest period without exercise. You can just do things. Aiming for the 40s!

I think all copies of SQLite being distributed with the lords prayer in source is one of the most beautiful quirks of the modern world. Trillions of copies of scripture embedded invisibly throughout the technological world

In our region, the rule-of-thumb for when to plant grain crops is "after ANZAC Day". The operation of planting completely erases anything in the paddock. So I figured, if it will be visible until at least ANZAC Day, let's combine the two? To the greatest place. Happy Australia

everything is downstream of energy production. we need to scale all forms. wind seems kinda dumb for various reasons but basically everything else is probably worthwhile. everything is downstream of energy production.

@SimoEast @AmberElectricAU Correct, prices are low (actually often negative wholesale) during the day because we have too much solar, and that's actually **troublesome** and, ironically, ultimately unsustainable. I get a FREE 3 hour window every day to charge my EV and battery (hence my bill is basically

@CooperZurad I’ve noticed that whenever the other end of a plugged in usbc cable touches my arm it feels like a sharp pain, not quite a shock but super uncomfortable. It’s not there if I unplug the other end.

Notice the subtle change... Just like how we went from "global warming" to "climate change", we've now gone from "instances of extreme weather events" to "economic losses from extreme weather events". Cyclones, fires and floods can remain just as common or even decrease, but

Climate change is driving up insurance costs & making homes uninsurable 🇦🇺ns are paying the price while disasters worsen As Minister Bowen said: "The cost of inaction will always outweigh the cost of action" We need real action & investment in adaptation
