This morning, Commissioner @AdrianGarciaHTX in partnership with Reliant Energy delivered a portable A/C unit to a longtime Pasadena resident, Rodrigo Garcia Perez. Thanks to Reliant’s Beat the Heat program, he’ll now be able to stay cool and comfortable this summer.

A tribute on wheels! Today, Precinct 2 with Precinct2gether unveiled a new bus to honor the legacy of the Houston Police Department's Chicano Squad. Formed in 1979, the group of Latino detectives overcame the impossible to solve some of Houston's toughest homicide cases.

Originally built by the @hcfcd to hold 391 million gallons of stormwater and reduce flooding, the Lauder Stormwater Detention Basin now doubles as a safe, scenic space for the community to bike, walk, and run. It’s a win for both public safety and quality of life.
