I’m delighted that the DVLA have seen sense and reversed their recent decision to include FND as a mandatory notifiable condition. Functional /dissociative seizures still have specific rules but for other FND symptoms you only need to notify if they affect driving.

I wasn’t aware this was happening No change to DVLA driving rules for functional seizures but motor FND now specifically listed for first time as something patients need to notify Another reason to be careful in diagnosing “FND” in those with mild functional symptoms

Papers like this which demonstrate that alpha synuclein can act potently as prions, are exactly why you need to have proportionate safety measures in labs doing this kind of work. If you work on this and don’t have safety measures ask why! Great paper btw.
