We could not have found a more deserving recipient!
Thank you to @ASCBiology for your recognition “for work to promote treatment of tropical diseases and defend science and the scientific process” I look forward to receiving this at your annual meeting in December, really nice. Means a lot to me in these dark times…

Congratulations to Michael, Gautam, Meg, Lillian, Snezhka for this meeting - such a success! 🤩 integrative and across scales biology at the interface of cell bio, evolution & ecology! 👏 to JCS for its important work in fostering science and the new generation of scientists.
That’s a wrap for #JCSevocellbio! Thanks to the organisers, @Dey_Gautam, @FritzLaylin, @alebenoit, Meg Titus and @DrMichaelWay, and all the participants for making it such a fantastic meeting.

Physical protein interactions constrain interface sequence. But what about non-binding "biochemical" interactions in metabolism? We used deep mutational scanning to map sequence constraints for two enzymes that catalyze consecutive metabolic reactions:

ASCB members: we will be doing similar Virtual Hill Days for other states! Please contact me (@HVGoodson) or ASCB (@ASCBiology) if you would like to lead a Virtual Hill Day for your state! We'll set up the meetings and provide training/talking points.
Great to talk to representatives, senators, and staffers about the importance of NIH and NSF funding as part of virtual #ASCBHillDay with @ASCBiology. Federal grant $$ supports cutting edge research, trains the next generation of scientists, and directly supports Indiana economy.

Thank you Sarah for bringing science to the community with your work, and a smile to my day with your tweet!
I would like to once again thank @ASCBiology for giving me the public service award. Tonight I had something to report when all my cousins announced their pregnancies. You bought me at least 5 years right there.
