For a guy who likes to Understand Polls, Nate Silver seems to have a difficult time understanding that other countries have their own politics and histories. Chicoutimi has been a PΓ©quiste stronghold since the 1970s, they've only ever lost the riding twice.
We beat em in hockey and now Canada is literally falling apart geez. Not going to be any easier next time when Makar is playing for Team Alberta.

Wanna see a dead body? I didn't even notice at first that he is replying Ben Mulroney. https://t.co/h1tkWyx6BT
@BenMulroney I don't know anything about either of these men, but I don't think it's true that Pierre Poilievre can't afford a bespoke suit. I can show you. If you zoom in on the Poilievre's suit, you can see subtle dimples along the edge of his lapel. These dimples indicate that the suit

Shakespeare trutherism is a pet peeve of mine.
I don't believe George RR Martin wrote ASOIF fire. My evidence: -His father was a longshoreman from New Jersey. -It's replete with strong female characters, suggesting the true author is a woman. -It copies older stories that a longshoreman's son couldn't know about.

If I see that copilot logo appear on screen when I open an app, I will stop everything else I am doing until I find a way to disable it, after which I send another pissed off feedback message to Microslop for trying to force this GenAI garbage on unwilling users.
Satya Nadella says Microsoft's Copilot AI is seeing massive use. Microsoft recently announced its financial earnings report for FY26 Q2, reporting $81.3 billion in revenue (up 17% YoY) and $38.3 billion in operating income (up 21% YoY). While impressive, investors have raised

Needs at least one more mention of the new policy regarding baggage. No, no need to include any of the details about the baggage policy, which is new, on the poster, that's what the QR code is for.
showed this to my ux guy and he said "whosoever is responsible for this ought to be hanged, your highness"

He does not understand the concepts of representative democracy or constitutional limitations on executive power. He thinks every country is just faking it, and the head of government always has unlimited political authority, which is being unjustly denied to him.
Trump: "I should've gotten the Nobel Prize for each war, but I don't say that. I saved millions and millions of people. And don't let anybody tell you that Norway doesn't control the shots, ok? It's in Norway. Norway control the shots. It's a joke. They lost such prestige. That's

But sure, "we need leaders who can rise up to the challenge."

There's also a massive credible commitment problem of a scale they don't yet realize. Every mechanism that was meant to prevent this from happening has failed. A rational state actor will now see a return to the pre-2015 status quo as dangerous, risky, and likely undesirable.

This entire thread is that hotdog guy meme wondering how "we" let US-Canada relations get to this point. It's not anger, it's rational strategic response to a shifting IR landscape where a formerly predictable and reliable partner has become completely undependable and irrational
I would say exactly the same thing to our Canadian friends. Let's reflect on how we got to this place and course correct. And I would add that statecraft is never easy, and that we need leaders who can rise up to the challenge because the future of the West is at stake. 9/End

I thought they were kidding about the trousers π€¦ββοΈ And this isn't a modernized adaptation? They just... decided to put bifurcated garments on men who famously hated them?

Any suggestions, Hivemind? I used to have a great place to buy kitty food online, but their system has been down for the past week and I wasn't able to get in touch with them before their customer service closed for the next week. I wanted to take advantage of Boxing Day sales β³
#CatsOfTwitter friends, my tummy needs your aid! The place Maman usually orders noms has had online orders down the past week. We need a Canadian source (pref Quebec) that isn't Amazon/Walmart, which carries a variety of grain-free options (Nutrience, N&D, Romeo, Acana/Orijen).
