Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre just said he doesn't think his party will support the Bloc or NDP amendments to the budget; the HoC is due to vote on the former in about 10 minutes. So minority Liberals likely to survive this vote, too.

Three other CPC MPs also didn’t vote (and were not paired): Matt Jeneroux, Laila Goodridge and Shannon Stubbs, who, her office says, was on medical leave granted before the budget.

No new money for schools, hospitals or housing in the Ford government’s fall mini-budget, which projects significant job losses, dwindling housing starts and a $13.5B deficit. But there is financial relief available for Ontario businesses directly impacted by U.S. tariffs.

Conservative amendment to the budget fails by a vote of 139-198. It was a matter of confidence, so that means the Carney government survives its first budget confidence test. BQ amendment vote tomorrow, with main budget vote expected Nov 17 #cdnpoli
