As with Musk doing foreign policy and everything else, this is the privatization of public power, which is always followed by the privatization of public money into the same hands. We saw this in Russia and it's how to replace a democracy with oligarchy.

Trump just picked his own personal criminal defense lawyers to the #2 & #3 top spots at DOJ. In any other era, this would have been a big story, a clear conflict of interest, a corrupt violation of keeping the Justice Department independent. But with Trump, barely a notice.

@CanPoli403 1) Don't underestimate the Trump administration's willingness to subsidize refineries so they can process more light American crude. 2) The pain would be felt disproportionately in Alberta. And the message needs to be heard most urgently there.

Wow! That footage of that Māori woman and company doing a Haka dance in the New Zealand parliament to protest a new Bill is awesome. Almost makes parliamentary procedures interesting.

We can't stop Elon Musk from using our tweets to train Grok, so we've decided to encourage it. We're glad Grok will be getting its facts about the world from our incredibly factual headlines, and then disseminating those facts as the very real facts that they are.

@abradioone @giantcheetoAB @RRohampton "No other government ever did" Would you like to try that again? And Harper only produced a surplus at the very end by selling our shares in GM early.

A lot of buzz in Toronto Country because a certain Taylor is coming to town. Yet, another certain Taylor is leaving for an Indigenous Literary festival in Quebec City and there seems to be a lot less publicity about it. Hmmm... It's cause I'm Indigenous, isn't it?

Journalism is the bedrock of democracy. When government tries to shut journalists out, our democratic foundations start to crumble. @GregRickford & @fordnation are not the champions of the people. @JonSThompson deserves respect. #JournalismMatters

Just a reminder that Conrad Black, who’s behind the residential school denialist movement in Canada, is in Jefferey Epstein’s black book, went to jail for fraud, and wrote this odd book about Trump. And he thinks *I* shouldn’t be taken seriously. Lol.

If an MP refuses to speak to their own bill at committee, then the committee should vote it down and kill it, no matter its merits. This kind of thing wastes everyone’s time and there needs to be consequences.
