Democrats need to run strong candidates with deep local roots in every district. Message on what actually matters to voters there. Build resources to meaningfully compete. We must play ball *to win* this year — we have way too good of an opportunity to waste.

To my fellow NC Democrats: Please know that Democratic candidates do not have to collect signatures to be on the ballot. In 2026, nearly every seat will be competitive. But there are several spoiler campaigns running that are asking folks to sign petitions. Don't fall for it.

Redistricting is just *another* example of why state legislative seats are so important. Despite Congressional races getting 10x the attention and funding, they are much more influenced by the leaders being elected further down the ballot.
