I'm 3 days away from my final submission of my masters, am writing an essay on Surrealism, which I have no experience with.. I can do this. Also, watch Terry Gilliam's 'Brazil'. It's pretty great

"...the letter ‘T’ assumes the form of a prism that refracts and distorts works of art from the museum collection. It is a playful take on the continuous reframing that takes place – from ancient to modern – within the walls of the institution." https://t.co/6zMD7gBZ2P

I'm currently celebrating the submission of my dissertation by cleaning my desk...and floor. It's been a while since the wood has seen the light of day. #AcademicChatter #AcademicTwitter

Show of hands: A salon hang of First Nations art a) subverts colonial histories and gives the work agency or b) reinforces the need to decolonise art museums? #artgallery #australianart #firstnationsart

This is the strangest thing. I'm supposed to be chatting with...the object? I'm curious as to what dataset this was trained on? Or is it picking up from the least trustworthy source, the internet?

I'm excited to announce the launch of a new project: @MuseumofLoot, a virtual gallery to collect, display and study looted antiquities repatriated since 1950 – and the trafficking networks behind them. A thread on why loot needs its own museum… https://t.co/RQliSWN13B

To be fair you wouldn't even need the excavations. Give me an unlit corridor of death and I'm there.

It would be too easy to kill an art historian. All you have to do to get them to walk into an unlit, deserted basement is put up a turnstile and charge them a euro to go “look at the archeological excavations under the cathedral nave.”

Van Goghs 'Parsonage Garden', stolen in 2020 and recovered by me last september, in cooperation with Dutch Police, is back at the Groninger Museum. Even the IKEA-bag, in which it was brought back, is now exhibited at the museum. Stay tuned for another big recovery pretty soon. As
