Huge news. It's back. The shield taken from Ethiopia in 1868, put up for sale in Newcastle this year, identified through the expertise of @alulapan (who shared the pics) and handed over through the negotiation of HIH Prince Ermias & the Royal Ethiopian Trust just came back home.

Prosecutors wrote that Mr. Almagià’s dealings were furthered by the “complicit assistance” of Michael Padgett a former curator at the Princeton Art Museum, who they said used his reputation and contacts to introduce Almagià to a world of prominent clients & curators at museums
