A Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Gloucester South rescued a dog this morning from a culvert. The dog was not injured, just very shaken and taken to a local vet to trace the owner.

Crews from Gloucester, Cinderford and Coleford have assisted a pony from getting their hoof stuck in a cattle grid, great work with owners to keep the pony comfortable while the equipment was set up and the rescue took place on a cold afternoon.

AM Ian Tonner dropped in at Cinderford tonight to say Thank you after an off duty Firefighter was called by a friend, to a man in cardiac arrest at a local pub. That firefighter then called others who grabbed the defib & then met at the pub where together they saved his life ❤️
