One of the kindest, funniest, and most talented people in Smash. Every interaction I've had with Steech remains so vivid in my mind because no one else could be so insightful and funny in quite the same way. A truly unique person that I'm glad I got to meet.

Summer is right around the corner and so is SSBMRank! . The ranking season for SSBMRank Summer 2025 will end July 13, the weekend of Let's Drink the Pool. The countdown of the 50 best players of 2025 so far will start in early August, so make sure to stay tuned!

Another great year in the books, hope you enjoyed some fun facts about this year's ranking and feel free to share any you might have!.

You might've noticed quite a few Jigglypuffs on this year's Top 100. At eleven players, this is the most Puffs we've seen on a Top 100 ever, beating out last year's record of 10. In addition, this is the first time in SSBMRank history that we have multiple Puffs in the Top 20.

While we're on age, we saw the youngest player to make SSBMRank with OG Kid! At 16, he barely beats out players like Azel and Franz who also made Top 100 before turning 17. 2024 also saw the oldest player to make Top 100 in SSBMRank history, with Drephen at 39 years old!.

This is also the oldest Top 10 that we've had, with the players being an average age of 28 years, 5 months. This just narrowly beats out 2022's Top 10 which had an average age of 28 years, 3.5 months. (don't compare this one to Ult).

Speaking of the Top 10, this is the most countries we've ever seen represented in a Top 10 in SSBMRank history, including Australia & Germany seeing their first Top 10 players. Not only this, but it's the first time that the Melee Top 10 has had more countries than Ult's Top 10!.

First off, congrats to Zain for #1! After reclaiming his spot at the top this year, he becomes the first player in SSBMRank history to be #1 for non-consecutive years!. It's going to be interesting to see how long this one lasts.

Also, what a year! If 2024 felt unique, it's because it was. This year we saw some amazing storylines and I wanted to shout out some fun facts that we came across when making the list.

Woo!!. It's no surprise to anyone close to us, but this year's Top 100 wasn't always guaranteed. A lot of questions surrounded this year's release but because of the wonderful team we have, I'm proud to bring another Top 100 to this wonderful community.

After speaking with some of the players involved, we've made the decision to align with the spirit of the event and not count any results from the Melee side bracket at LACS Rivals towards SSBMRank 2024.
