Don't want to sound preachy, just saying. When you see an old person at the shops, smile, have a chat. Make them feel valued instead of invisible. Some are on their own and the only time they see other ppl is when they go out for shopping.

Quote.. Francis, who spent 65 DAYS ISOLATED IN HER ROOM🆘 said she felt caged like an animal, just fed and watered. She described lockdown as worse than living through the war. https://t.co/GtV443S8XS

Thank you to @JohnCampaign for putting forward questions. Just for the record @Helen_Whately we never asked for an open door policy/we were happy to put our loved ones at risk of covid. We did ask that #caresupporters should be treated the same as staff (it would have certainly

Details matter @Helen_Whately you either didn’t listen to campaigners or you’ve deliberately misrepresented family members, like mine, who experienced the devastating effect of closed door policy! You didn’t stop Carers working in multiple homes, transferring COVID did you?

Visiting at windows was purgatory for my dad and us he was banging on the windows begging staff to let us in. I can’t describe how much grief we felt. The grief in his face was overwhelming. Staff were going out help out to eat out while government partied

The @covidinquiryuk is an opportunity for crucial change within social care as well as examining the failures of the past. Our hearts are with the bereaved families of all the UK nations. We pledge to support them & do all we can to ensure that every moment is well used.
We have written to the Chair of @covidinquiryuk, raising serious concerns about the care hearings, which start on Monday. Shockingly, the Inquiry will not call Boris Johnson and other key decision-makers, including the former Chief Exec of NHS England, to give evidence. 1/2

Can we suggest @SKinnock , if you are in a listening mood, that you pass #GloriasLaw - the legal right for all to have a #CareSupporter in any health or care setting - or is it selective listening? #RightsForResidents
'The public really appreciates it when politicians listen and engage and take action' Care Minister Stephen Kinnock spoke to #BBCBreakfast after the government made major concessions over its planned benefits reforms to ensure claimants of Personal Independence Payment continue

Quote..📌 So forgive us, @Keir_Starmer if we don't join 'together' in this insincere, performative, 'Day of reflection'. We have nothing to 'reflect' upon. We did EVERYTHING to try to stop the inhumanity and save our loved ones from Parliament's inflicted harms. So, 'reflect'
Only it wasn't Covid @Keir_Starmer that led to the loss of our loved ones, that caused the indelible grief of those of us left behind, or the trauma of watching helplessly through care home windows as the life-blood drained from our mothers, fathers, and spouses faces, as they
