I told my son that he could live with us after college. He had to pay rent. After 16 months, he moved out today. I showed up at his new apartment and gave him all of the rent back. He was a very happy young man.

The credit line on my Costco Visa is $13k. I applied for an increase and they turned me down. I have other cards at $30k. Just wanted the increase for buying windows or big travel. Credit score is 832. Zero debt. I don’t get it.

My wifes mother keep "threatening" to spend the inheritance. My wife tells her to go ahead and spend it. She doesn't know how to respond to that comment. She just says, you guys must have more $$ than us. Well, duh.

Proud dad moment. 22 yr old son started first big boy job as an engineer. He texts me and says “Roth” right? Then follows it up with “20% in the S&P 500 index fund right?” His college grad present was @JLCollinsNH Simple Path o Wealth. He not only read it but executed it! 💪🏻.

My brother officially retired today at 70 years old. You may think that is way too old but he suffers from a intellectual disability. He is like a 12 year old. With social security, pension, and 401k he will be just fine. I'm very proud of him. If he can do it, you can do it!

I’m having a hard day with people that whine about money. I came from nothing. My parents did pay for college in the early 1980’s but I wasn’t very smart. I had a 2.7 grade point. I made $18,000 my first year. I had grit and the gift of gab. I sold advertising my entire career.

Spoke with my neighbor who is a financial advisor. She asked me if any books helped me on my path. I said “The Millionaire Next Door”. She said that she hadn’t heard of it. That was a huge 🚩. That made me think that I would never consult with her. Maybe it’s a generational thing.

I belong to some retirement and pre-retirement groups on Facebook. It's really sad to see people in the 50's and 60's with very limited $$. About 9% of Americans are millionaires. I encourage all you young people to not be like those people in their 50's and become one of the 9%.

Read an article that said that 97% of 401k holders did NOT sell during the recent stock market downturn. We actually “bought the dip” and poured $$ into the market. Great job everyone. 👍🏻.
