Note: The people running the study don't own a mouth tape company. It's independent, open, and transparent. They are collaborating with a snoring app to track snoring, and I'm unsure if there's a financial incentive. Here's a link to the ongoing study:.

That HRV effect is equal to moving from the 50th percentile → 66th. 4 extra minutes of deep sleep is 24 hours of extra recovery a year. An extra 2 minutes to fall asleep (latency) is not great but pales in comparison to HRV and deep sleep gains.

Early Findings (43 participants analyzed so far):. · HRV: +2ms on average (+5ms for mouth breathers).· Deep sleep: +4 minutes.· Total sleep time: trending positive.· Sleep latency: slightly longer (+2 min). All improvements were seen more in mouth breathers than nose breathers.
