Why do politicians push this idea that medicine is a âvocationâ as if it somehow justifies not remunerating Doctors adequately? Telling Doctors they shouldnât expect to be paid well for their vocation reinforces exploitation. Valuing meaningful work should reward, not punish!

Doctors play a vital role at key moments in our lives. They care for us. They cure us. They do not take the decision to strike lightly. They are striking for an extra ÂŁ4 per hour for first year doctors with ÂŁ100,000 student debt. The government needs to move on this. Solidarity
Northern doctors sent a clear message today that no doctor is worth less than a doctor in 2008 The power to end these strikes lies squarely with @wesstreeting - he must make a meaningful offer to reverse our pay erosion and continue the journey to fair pay #DoctorsStrike

@drmattuk I read the rest of the review coloured by Prof Lengâs forward which I thought was exceptional Not least because she is quite clear that resident training is broken and sheâs the first in a position of true authority to admit it Powis and Whitty ignore this at their peril

It also recommends PAs and AAs wear standardised clothing and badges to distinguish them from doctors.

@DrEilidhMaria @wesstreeting @Daily_Express It's finally here - why I think people need to stand with the doctors, not Wes Streeting https://t.co/7hHV1UEo8X

Wes Streeting says the public won't forgive striking doctors but as someone whose vital treatment may be interrupted I'm here to say he's wrong.

Resident doctors should not be instructed to sign-off potentially unsafe prescriptions. Â Today, @DrPhilBanfield has written to Mark Hackett, Interim Chief Executive @UHP_NHS, to raise serious concerns about unsafe working arrangements at the trust. Â Read our letter in full đ

Wes Streeting, the health secretary, is expected to accept Lengâs recommendation and instigate the change, which could lead to physician associates being renamed âphysician assistantsâ or âdoctorsâ assistantsâ. https://t.co/8ZbuHiMN6n
