I’ve asked my MP @sarahsackman to vote in favour of rooftop solar in parliament on Friday 17 January. Will you do the same? @CPRE

Thanks to the help of so many people, we were able to plant 300 native hedging plants this morning! We're hoping that in a few years there will be a beautiful hedge full of wildlife, screening the busy road.

We can't wait to plant native hedges in Friary Park. Hawthorn, Hazel & Guelder Rose will support a wide range of insects and wildlife, and create a barrier against noise and air pollution from the busy roads beside the park. Bring your spades & your friends, we'd love your help!

A solitary bumblebee enjoying the new plants, even in mid-November! This time last year, this large flowerbed was bare soil. Thanks to all the volunteers and to @BarnetCouncil and @FinchleyPollin it's coming back to life

Outstanding community effort today at the park near Mutton Brook, Henley’s Corner. In addition to the Tiny Forest, @Earthwatch_Eur @BarnetCouncil and @goodgym Barnet have started a 600sqm #wildflowermeadow! Today we scattered the seeds: meadow mix, annual mix & yellow rattle

With 90 units installed over the last year, @HaringeyCouncil are storming ahead with their Bikehangar scheme! We met with Cllr @mikehakata and Cllr @perayahmet to celebrate the project and look ahead to the next 200 units still to come. Here’s to a greener, more active borough!👏

New plants were covered in a carpet of bindweed after the rain. We filled a giant bag with it, in the company of two friendly robins. It's so great that no more weedkiller is being used on this bed, the robins are happy and life is living here again 😃

St John's Church, Friern Barnet, have planted some new 'cottage garden perennials'. Hoping to bring a little life where it's very grey and busy with traffic. Exciting!!
