Weir apparently satisfies readers. He is a fad of sorts but people do read him. And that is why AI "authors" will succeed. AI need not be talented enough to replace Dostoevsky; just talented enough to replace Andy Weir.
Andy Weir is probably the biggest name in mainstream contemporary science fiction right now. If this came across my desk during a submission window, I would hope that the person who sent it never sent me anything else ever again.

I feel for Roshi. I took a Shaddoll Dogmatika decklist built to counter prank kid DPE set ups into the 2026 duelist cup and felt the passage of time like never before. Even rogue trash now eclipses the strongest decks of the recent past.

last week an NPC necromancer who had turned the first dead PC into a novel type of undead and thought he had him under thumb for a year unzipped a couple of bodybags only to find his fresh acquisitions were a pair of vampires smuggled in by said undead PC to assassinate him.
"But how can I pull off my big twist finish if I structure the campaign the way are suggesting?!"
