Hang on there, or hang in there! It’s the hope that kills par excellence, as they say in Portishead.
Thankful to my colleague @LordPeterHendy, Minister for Rail, for confirming that despite the £22bn black hole we have inherited from the last Government, the Portishead and Pill railway re-opening is not now listed as one of the cancelled projects.

Excellent initiative.
Colleagues from GWR, @SW_Help, @samaritans and The Railway Children recently joined forces to promote safeguarding on the rail network. The teams engaged with hundreds of colleagues and customers, talking, educating, and sharing experiences involving safeguarding vulnerable

Yes we would and parity of increased suburban services across the WECA region, integrated with regular bus route timings.
Good to see local papers pick up our statement on fairer train fares. We'd like a zoned system, like London's #bristolrail

Good news and well done all. And we can pay it a visit when the project is completed.
We are pleased to award a grant of £3,336 to @SevernsideCRP for a new heritage-style front door to their community room @GWRHelp Bridgwater Station. It will definitely fit in better than the current door.

Yes it would be a beautiful fit at our station and with lifts would provide the necessary and legal obligation to provide access for all our community to rail services.
Network Rail's latest standard footbridge model has been prototyped - the AVA footbridge. Almost infinitely flexible and adaptable, and practically complete before it leaves the factory, it should only need a single possession to install it. Read more:

Yes and only a short train ride from South Bristol …. and its hourly service during the daytime!.
I know this isn't the first time we've posted a picture of a cream tea this year, but here's a reminder of what's in reach if you take a direct @GWRHelp Severn Beach - Yatton train and ride the @StrawbLine #bristolrail

Does this apply for the whole of WsM to Severn Beach service?.
If you travel on the Severn Beach line without buying a ticket first, you could get a £100 penalty. Did you know? We think @GWRhelp should do more to make sure infrequent users don't get caught out. #bristolrail

Oh yes, and our coastal town Portishead? Now where are we with that??.
Really pleased to hear about a coastal town being reconnected to the rail network after decades of poor transport connections! Congratulations to everyone involved. #bristolrail.

Yes that’s good and the whole of WECA could be if only we have parity of services, integrating suburban rail and buses in a proper, regular and affordable public transport system.

Lovely job, now please turn your attention to creating access for all our community here!.
🚉 We’re in the final stages on Bristol's new @WestofEnglandCA Ashley Down station. 🛠️The footbridge completed the structure at Xmas. Fitting out is nearly done & now we're testing, aiming to open later this year. 🎬 Mark Radford… #TravelWest @BristolCouncil #BristolRailRegen

Good work and a pretty station.
We’re super proud Yatton was chosen to host the launch of national #CommunityRailWeek today. The spotlight was shone on the station’s volunteer gardeners, plus the Strawberry Line Café and Community Cycle Project. @CommunityRail @RailDeliveryGrp .@SevernsideCRP

Amen!.
These are fantastic figures. We look forward to continued growth, but need better frequency through Bedminster and Parson St, and of course @PilningStation #bristolrail

Great news! And your plan for residents and future rail users in South Bristol where the present service is hourly during the day is ???.
🚅 12 months after the introduction of half-hourly train services linking Bristol Temple Meads with Gloucester and Westbury, the new trains have racked up more than 3.4 million journeys! That's a 27% year-on-year increase. 📈. Read more ➡️

Well the whole of South Bristol would be interested in this considering you seem satisfied to be allowing a once an hour service for most of the day for Bedminster and Parson Street ! Do you think that’s fair?.
12 months after the introduction of half-hourly train services to and from Bristol Temple Meads, how many journeys do you think the new half hourly trains have racked up? . The answer will be posted tomorrow morning. Hint. it's a 27% year-on-year increase in passengers. 📈.

Great initiative! Well done all.
The Railwalks website proves you don't need a car to reach interesting, beautiful remote places. Well done @greentravelrite for pulling this together! #bristolrail

Yes in so much as a consideration for more suburban rail usage. But then a linking plan with buses, cycle paths and walkways. In the decades past there’s never been any shortage of ideas and plans…. but delivery ??.
Some interesting ideas. We support the idea of expanding the existing rail network using tram-trains, starting with Temple Meads - Centre. Other proposals, such as east through Fishponds, are more problematic - as @BristolCycling will agree!.
