Headlines like this are unhelpful 🙅♂️
Ridiculing construction workers for talking about their feelings only serves to further stigmatise mental health and self-care in an industry where people are three times more likely to take their own lives. (1/4)

Today the Government could have decided to save vital local suicide prevention funding, at just £1.40 per person it wasn’t too much to ask. But instead they’ve made the choice to sit back and watch as it comes to an end. This is unacceptable. 1/3

The myth that today is the most ‘depressing day of the year’ seems to pop up every year and we’ve honestly had enough of it! So, we’re spilling the tea on Blue Monday - here’s 3 big reasons why it can get in the bin 🗑️👇
@FTFDesert
Research shows that trans people have higher rates of self-harm and suicide than cisgender people. One study found trans people were at twice the risk of suicide attempts compared to cisgender females and four times compared to cisgender males. (1/2)
Funding has already been stopped in some areas with the highest suicide rates, and by 2024 the rest of it will stop completely. This is an unacceptable decision from the Government when suicide rates are as high now as they were 20 years ago. 2/4
