The UK will remain a nasty, broken, soulless country until the day we wake up to the news "The government has approved a national ban on consumer fireworks.".
The Dutch Senate has approved a national ban on consumer fireworks. This is a step forward for animal welfare, as loud fireworks cause distress, confusion, injury, and even death for animals. Next: all fireworks must be swapped with alternatives like laser light and drone shows.

"I don't know if it's a lack of awareness or just a lack of care for the environment.". People who think fireworks are acceptable have no consideration for the environment or others. It's an industry doing more harm than good, and more harm than ever before. It needs to end.
Nearly half a tonne of litter picked up after a summer firework display, on a beach of all places. Now tell us again how firework displays of this type are good for communities.

From the Keighley Pakistanis Facebook group. This is bad but needs to be seen. Fireworks are causing real community tensions in Bradford, plus some of the most heated comment sections you'll ever see, yet for some reason our authorities are quite happy to let this continue.

"We should not have to put up with this.". Strongly worded Facebook post last night from Keighley & Ilkley MP @_RobbieMoore about the nightly fireworks (and back firing exhausts) menace. It's already received over 1K likes and 200+ comments from VERY angry residents.

If you can screenshot or link to Facebook posts about fireworks in Bradford community groups and elsewhere, please DM or post them. Just one person providing screenshots/a link here and there is a big help to keep raising awareness of the severity and impact of this issue.
Can always go on Facebook and look in community groups as there's leagues more posts going on about Fireworks on there than here, but it's hard work finding these groups, going in and out of them, searching for the latest fireworks post etc. Tiring to use.

RT @lucaajw: In a few decades there should be comparable before and after pics of Bradford. Massively undervalued housing stock left to rot.
