#histsex #histchild @Preg_Research & #twitterstorians Can any of you think of any scholarship on lochial bleeding - as in post-birth bleeding?! Can find menstruation but not lochia. Aiming for #18thC but #17thC or #19thC will do!

A beautiful hand coloured postcard of Robin Hoods Bay produced for Frank Newton of the The General Supplies Store in the village. The reverse of the 1910 card states that the ‘small fishing village is now developing into a seaside resort.’ #seaside #Yorkshire

Tomorrow is #WorldWhiskyDay! We've found this great advert for Johnnie Walker on the side of the Mains Inn. We don't have any information about this photograph, can anyone help us to locate where the Mains Inn was?

With the current talk of who might be cast as #Batman it's worth looking back to this WHSmith ad featuring surely the best Bat film ever and also the unsettling sight of Nicholas Lyndhurst as Batgirl: https://t.co/Y0Kim0XcDL #Archives

#VivienLeigh on her cat Poo Jones (yes, Poo Jones): ‘a clown of a cat and marvelous traveler - sensible and good.’ Also on Poo: ‘I am very well, except for the bruise where my Siamese cat trampled over me roughshod in the middle of the night’. #catsinthearchive @ReframingVL

Excited to be talking at Cafe Culture on June 4th! Focusing on teenage girls' everyday lives to challenge a simplistic media cause and effect approach to understanding body unhappiness.

Monday reading group on Andrea Dworkin! You don't need to have read the whole anthology. Every word she wrote makes an impression. I found her letters to her parents particularly powerful. And her discussion of "right wing women" could not be more timely. Join us!

There’s a postcard in the @bdcmuseum (dated 1986) of this intriguing image of Leigh by Paul Tanqueray taken in 1942 during a wartime visit to his studio, wearing some of Olivier’s uniform. The original print now lives at @NPGLondon: https://t.co/fFZqmxD3GB
