The museum will be closed tomorrow (Wed 9th July) from 1pm for a private memorial celebration for Peter Jewell, who died in March. Peter and his friend Bill Douglas's collection founded the museum. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Very sadly our Honorary Patron and founding donor Peter Jewell passed away this week aged 90. We will miss him very much for his enthusiasm, wit, his extraordinary generosity and for his friendship with Bill Douglas. Thank you Peter.
