Y’all don’t know how radicalizing it is to have a bunch of white people’s biggest concern be the fact that there’s black people in their cartoons.
Y’all don’t got real problems but a lot of hate in your hearts.
This probably was the most consitently good a comic I've ever read has been indie or not. While the highs are not the highest there are virtually zero lows in the main series (Spin-offs and tie ins excluded)
One of the things I loved was the way the art improved over time. Around the middle, the art gets REALLY good and stays that way. Despite having multiple regular artists, they made sure to keep their styles somewhat cohesive.
One thing I did notice that kinda threw me off is that you can kind of tell that the ending was not what as planned in the beginning. Like, remotely. I guess it wasn't anticipated that the book would last 15 years.
I like how no one gives a shit about Barry Allen's actual personality but no one has managed to have a take that's remotely even close to being as compelling as his comic counterpart.
In what world would Wonder Woman leave someone she loved to get with a younger man while her partner was still alive?
This is Wonder Woman not Wonder DiCaprio.
Zack Snyder revealed his plans for the scrapped Wonder Woman 1854
"It was never a screenplay, but we talked about it so much that it kind of had its own life.......After Wonder Woman left the island in search of Ares, what happened to her in her different incarnations? My idea…
The way this show so faithfully adapted the vibes of the Lee era while adopting the Bendis era aesthetic and combining their story beats so flawlessly. Ooh Assemble was so evil for cancelling this.
Btw this show is what the DCAU wishes it was.
You see image characters like savage dragon appear early in the series as cameos you're kinda trained to believe that any prominent characters will turn out to be Invincible original characters whose appearances will be explained. Don't fall into that trap you'll be confused.
Love how back in the 80s Batman was specifically one of the only humans on earth who could read Kryptonese specifically because Superman taught him but now it has to be edgy and he needs to undermine Clark so we get this instead.
Byrne Superman Retrospective: a thread
We’ll be covering the good, the bad, the mid, and the consequences of the run.
Buckle up, put on your Superman cape and your Ronald Regan merch and brace yourself to travel back to 1987.
One of the most overrated Superman products in the character's entire history.
Man of Steel kicks it a billion and a half million times in terms of plot.
Again, Zack Snyder far surpassing everything that came before, authentically & genuinely a visionary.

Y’all gotta let the delusion go. Even the most extreme anti white rhetoric was only ever as loud as the anti blk rhetoric on twitter. There wasn’t a time where blk ppl were free from racism on twitter let’s bffr.
And this isn’t fighting back. It’s the same old routine as ever.
Let’s be completely frank. Anti-White racism was not only allowed but specifically made to flourish before Elon. Now Elon said “let’s just not censor” and whites have been allowed to fight back without big tech interfering as a corrupt referee.
In 2024 seeing WW played by the same woman who celebrates the ongoing genocide of Palestinians hold decapitated heads for a black and white picture does not go hard actually.
After reading the comics I side eye y’all who said she was written better when she was in the comics. She was always an obstacle for the better ship and barely had any screen time. Hell some the scenes with Amber in the show were originally Debby scenes in the book.
Average Multiversus Superman Dialogue:
Superman: I hope we have a good match but I must warn you, I’m all brawn and no brains and for some reason I think that’s a flex.
Batman: I have Kryptonite you dumb bitch and I mailed a batbomb to the Siegel estate.
Y'all asked for it and here it is!
The Superman Villain Recommended Reading Thread is here. I'll give you a villain and recommend a few stories where I think they shine. This will not be a guide to the essential stories of these characters it's just stories I like.
Let's go!
Genuinely shocked ppl think SS Brainiac is better.
Speaking of which, why is he taking over the heroes and making them evil? That’s a decidedly OOC thing for brainiac to do.
Does… does this guy this Nazi is a slur?
And is he implying Superman wouldn’t be against NAZIS?!?!?
Oh what happened to the plot of the movie?!? Where did this generation go wrong?
Y’all imma do sone Amalgam casting. Won’t be explaining myself so you have to just take everything at face value
Some of these WILL be controversial
Enjoy!
