Increasing writing about visual art and its relationship to cruelty remains western-centric in a manner that further subordinates Palestinian art. It remains unimaginable for most to let Palestinian art inform them.

🟥 “Silence is the language of the oppressor.” 🔳Sudanese journalist Naji-Al Kurshabi breaks down mid-interview, saying he wishes he could write the stories instead of speak them because the pain of saying them aloud is unbearable. 🔳What’s happening in Sudan is not distant.

All eyes on Al Fasher. 2000 people killed in 48 hours. Complete silence from mainstream and even leftist media.

no final solution is ever final or a solution, yet in these days of the Israeli-Western final solution against the Palestinians, it becomes clearer how so many who "lifted up" our voices did so to buy our silence over their complicity
