Had exactly this feeling when I tweeted Watkins CoIs. And when Bethal retweeted me. And so many others Grim But the conversation had to be had. Leaders should have lead Instead it was left for us to dig and shout and claw It was messy because nobody would grasp the nettle
1/n I want to say something about PAs. I don’t know yet if this will be long or short cause I am not psychic. What I do know is this: the situation has become a mess. Not just administratively. Not just professionally. But emotionally. And it’s going to leave scars.

Even when the @lengreview was announced, when we had spent yrs evidencing concerns & the writing was on the wall, for the most part our leaders abandoned us The majority of Royal Colleges and Societies? Silent. "We'll be guided by Leng" Cowards until the end

But they didn't just abandon Drs They abandoned the PAs who they spent the past decade lying to. And now we have a cohort of graduates facing anxiety around job losses while College Leaders clink wine glasses in Grand Halls congratulating eachother for a job well done Cowards

@ExplosiveEnema2 They should feel ashamed. They should never work in any position where patients are involved. The fact that we played a part in bringing them down shows how fickle they were.

@ExplosiveEnema2 As I predicted a while ago https://t.co/kOXttV1YR3
@chriscraigCCC @timricketts_ Those in leadership pushing this forward have their own selfish reasons. They don’t care about other doctors but really they don’t care about PAs either. They’ll drop them too if/when they no longer serve their own interests. Both parties wasted years for others’ gain.

@ExplosiveEnema2 Yup. Completely agree. Absolutely disastrous and shameless that things went this far. The pushers and from senior doctors just allowing it. And now many professionals will suffer for it.
