Crazy that rip off private equities increase their control of nursing homes. They pay vast amount to CEOs, extract huge profits and grab more through accounting tricks. They often fail reviews and go bankrupt. Every community could run a range of care options involving everyone.

The marvelous palliative care doctor, Rachel Clarke, reports that hospices are being forced to "slash community services for dying people who wish to be cared for at home." Most issues have pros and cons but what can be said of a government that does this?

GPs are central to the NHS. We need more, better paid and better trained. Every qualified doctor who wants to be a GP should be offered training. No unqualified doctor should work as a GP. Money is not the problem. The question is what are our priorities. We say: choose life.

Nearly 80 years ago the people of the UK decided to guarantee health care to all as a human right. That right is under attack. We made the right decision then, when the country was devestated from war. I don't think we will surrender now.

Somehow @wesstreeting has omitted such facts in any of his rhetorical public appearances, re Dr's pay erosion. PAs are being paid more throughout the NHS but he doesn't want the public to know this. Why is the BMA not using this as leverage?

The goals of Starmer and the Labour Party establishment were to be elected and to enjoy the support of the rich. They succeeded. Zack and the Green Party want society that is a comfortable home for all. There is a time to build. That time is now and the time is ours.
