In 2004 the CBD COP-7 recommended protection of seamounts & other vulnerable marine ecosystems on the high seas from destructive fishing. In 2024 there are still Parties to the CBD bottom trawling on seamounts. They have been ‘breaking’ the deep sea for 20 yrs #DefendTheDeep
