A pleasure to meet Pierre Poilievre in Parliament yesterday. Like Britain, Canada has a left-wing government that is weak on crime. Conservatives everywhere know that prison works - and we need to lock up more criminals for longer.

Reform fancy their chances taking Bromley Council in May. Their first test was to propose an alternative Budget - something that, unlike other parties, they failed to do. To promise change, and then fail to propose anything different is disrespectful to voters.
