Had a great time yesterday at the Neurohackathon hosted by @TelepathTech, @neurosity, @kodjima33, and @AGIHouseSF. Met some incredible people and saw some really impressive projects. Thank you to the 150 people who showed up and built!

Non-invasive is so much safer that it seems far more likely to see widespread adoption. The tech is still rough today, but non-invasive BCIs will ultimately have more staying power than invasive.

Seems like banning the end result of the generation is the only way to prevent deep fakes without screwing generative AI more broadly.
@tegmark As a practical matter, "deep fakes" are just generative images and video, and there is no way to ban them without banning much more general uses of AI, just as you can't ban using photoshops of celebrities without banning photoshop. I think you are aware of this and want that.

I wonder if we're going to have another GPU shortage, but caused by AI this time. Great for Nvidia, less great for people who just want to play video games lol.
jensen estimates 40% of nvidia gpus are going towards inference on earnings call. every chatgpt query, midjourney image, etc, all contributing to demand.
