Again, this post is not to victimise myself or my comrades/colleagues (Yes I felt uncomfortable, but never unsafe at the event), but to show how misunderstandings of queer solidarity & racist, anti-Palestinian sentiments are being used, even in professional and academic settings.

I must add that organisers of this conference were clear on their stance on what’s happening in Palestine from the beginning, and have been 100% supportive in the aftermath of this incident. This incident on the grand scheme of things is inconsequential, but a shame nonetheless.
