Honestly, one of the biggest things I hate about voice acting:
Knowing that if I just went with the trend and engaged on social media more, I would have a much easier time staying visible in an industry all about visibility.
I just can't help but feel like I'm selling my soul.
Every day I choose not to submit to making influencer/content creator videos on TikTok/Insta is a day I’m hampering myself because colleagues have proven over and over there is a *HUGE* market for that.
But it’s my personal line I can’t cross of “monkey dancing” for that market.

First project (where I also met a lot of my VA friends) was a Cursed Princess Club Webtoon dub, all volunteer. Probably one of the main reasons I stayed doing voice acting is some of the people you meet 💜 Love you guys 💜

It should honestly be common practice for classes and workshops to list a rough itinerary at the very least. The worst thing is when you save up money, clear your schedule—only to show up to a "workshop" where 50% of the session is talking about what mics/interfaces to buy 🙃
If you are offering VO classes/webinars/workshops/whatever, please make it very clear what it is exactly you are offering. It really sucks to spend anywhere from 50-300 dollars for a "workshop" that turns out to just be a lecture.
